Negredo seeking new club as Valencia tell him he's not needed

Pako Ayestaran's new project at Valencia will involve re-shaping the first team squad. One of the players who will not continue is the striker Alvaro Negredo, who already knows the club's intentions to let him leave.

Negredo does not have a place at Mestalla and he knows his days are now numbered. The club's sporting director, Jesus Garcia Pitarch, is in Italy, more concretely in Milan, to find a team for the former Spain internaional.

Inter or Milan could sign Negredo. The former may allow Mauro Icardi to leave this summer and with the money that brings in they would have more than enough cash to do a deal with Los Che.

Icardi, 23, is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester United, among other clubs, and could be sold for 40 million euros. Negredo would replace him at Inter, who feel the Valencia striker will benefit from a change of scenery.

Negredo values the fact Valencia have been honest with him about the situation: "The club have acted well and have been sincere, I now have to take responsibility for my situation and look for an alternative [club]."
