Denis Suarez set to end Sevilla loan for permanent Villarreal switch

Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez's two-year loan at Sevilla will be cut short and the 21-year-old will join Villarreal on a permanent deal.

The Yellow Submarine are set to pay Sevilla four million euros to end the loan, with Barça then allowing him to move El Madrigal for free.

However, the Catalan club will maintain a clause to re-buy him for three million euros at the end of the current season; or for six million euros in the summer of 2017.

Sevilla's sporting director Monchi had earlier confirmed talks were progressing well with Villarreal and Barcelona regarding the Suarez's future.

Denis joined Sevilla on loan last summer, but recently he had been pressing for a move to Villarreal, where he feels he will play more regularly.

Unai Emery would have liked to keep him at the Sanchez Pizjuan, however Monchi admitted a move to Villarreal was more likely.

"We are negotiating with Villarreal and Barça about Denis. Talks are very advanced," he said at the presentation of Fernando Llorente on Friday night.

"It was something that needed to be addressed. We have defended our interests satisfactorily and it will be a good deal for everyone.

"We have various ideas in the case that Denis does leave, but it's likely that we don't do anything right now."

Denis initially impressed after joining Sevilla, but he has fallen out of favour with Emery since then, despite the Sevilla manager wanting to keep him around.

A move to Villarreal is now just pending official confirmation from the three clubs involved in the complicated deal.
