Mediaset Italia: Emery could replace Zidane at Madrid

Zinedine Zidane's future is not clear. The manager himself has suggested he doesn't know if he will be in charge next season when asked what happens next. It's also not clear what Florentino Perez's thoughts are on the French coach.

And according to Sport Mediaset Italia on Thursday, the Madrid club have been in contact with Unai Emery, to sound him out about a possible move. The Italian media assure that they have asked the Basque coach, recent winner of the Europa League, not to plan for pre-season with Sevilla, at least until after Saturday.

The idea is to take a bet on the Sevilla boss in the case that Madrid lose the final of the Champions League against Atletico in Milan this weekend.

Away from Perez, though, the players are delighted with Zidane. This week, both Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo have both spoken about how they have enjoyed working with him since he replaced Rafa Benitez in January.
