Madrid could replace James Rodriguez with Hazard

Eden Hazard’s name remains on Real Madrid’s agenda. The Chelsea forward is a player Zinedine Zidane likes; one he may ask president Florentino Perez to make a move for. The French coach believes the Belgian would shine in his system and his hypothetical arrival could spell the end of James Rodriguez at Madrid.

Zidane isn’t convinced he can recover the Colombian international’s best form, with his dip in form since the appointment of Rafa Benitez last summer seeing him lose his place in the team. James’ change of attitude in respect to his first season has not gone down well at the club at all, either.

Even though the player himself has hit out at his critics recently and denied certain things, suspicions persist that his life is not currently fitting for a personal footballer. They’re feelings which are shared by the club and by madridismo.

It’s not gone down well at the club or in the dressing room, either, that James would like a salary increase. That was the beginning of the end for players like Higuain, Ozil and Di Maria, who left Madrid through the back door. On top of that, rumours in England suggest Jorge Mendes, James’ agent, is in talks with Manchester United.

With all that going on, Real Madrid have filtered out Hazard’s name in a bid to put pressure on James. The aim is to get the best out of the Colombian.
