Luka Modric admits he "feels sorry" for Atletico Madrid after defeat

Luka Modric says he 'feels sorry for Atletico' after Real Madrid beat them on penalties in the Champions League final.

"Thank god we won it again, it was a bit difficult tonight," said the Croatian central midfielder on BT Sport.

"But we fought as a team until the end, and we made it. we are very happy and proud of the team, we showed character until the end. We deserved to win. I feel sorry for Atletico but I feel glad for ourselves that we won the game. 

"This is Real Madrid's competition. The undecima. This trophy belongs to Real Madrid, it's why it's the best club in the world."
