Lucas Vazquez advises Madrid team-mate Jese to sign for Espanyol

Lucas Vazquez keeps Espanyol fondly is his mind after his loan spell in the 2014/5 season, and now he believes Jese Rodriguez should do the same to develop in the same way he has.

With plenty of game time and playing in Spain's top division, Vazquez gained vital experience that he's taken back to Real Madrid and, subsequently, was instrumental in helping the club win the Champions League last season.

The 24-year-old's performances even led to Vicente del Bosque including him in Spain's Euro 2016 squad.

Now, Jese could follow the same route. SPORT revealed that the forward has agreed to move on loan to Espanyol thanks to incoming coach Quique Sanchez Flores, who convinced the Spaniard to make the move east to Catalonia.

It's clear that the exploits of his Real teammate helped in making his decision. Vazquez spoke to 'El Partido de las 12' on Cadena COPE and spoke positively about the proposed deal.

"I wish [Jese] well and of course I would advise [him] to go to Espanyol, my experience there was phenomenal," he said.
