Ukraine star Konoplyanka set to join Sevilla for free

Sevilla have reached an agreement with Ukrainian forward Yevhen Konoplyanka, subject to a medical and closing a deal with his club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

The player arrives in Andalucia on a free transfer, after his contract with Dnipro expired last Tuesday. He has agreed a four-year-deal with Sevilla, which will include a minimum fee release clause of 35 million euros.

Konoplyanka is 25-years-old and has 20 caps for Ukraine, as well as being one of the great players to watch in European football and one of the most sought-after players on the continent after a good season with Dnipro. A season which saw him become a star player in the Europa League final against Sevilla, scoring 8 goals in 42 games.

The Dnipro winger played against Los Nervionenses in the Europe League final in Warsaw, which ended 3-2 to the Spanish outfit. He plays as a left winger, but can use both feet and has spent all of his professional career playing in his native league.

Konoplyanka becomes the fourth addition to Sevilla's squad this summer, after Danish central midfielder Michael Krohn-Delhi, French forward Gael Kakuta and central defender Adil Rami.
