Karim Benzema a big injury doubt for Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid

Karim Benzema is unlikely to be fit for Real Madrid's Champions League clash against Atletico. 

The teams meet on Wednesday after sharing a goalless draw at the Vicente Calderon last week.

Benzema was injured after that game and rested over the weekend so his knee problem can recover. His ligaments have sustained minor damage. 

He rested for two days and then tried to take part in a training drill, but found it too painful. 

It would take a lot of luck for him to recover in time now, but if he is unable to, Javier Hernandez is the likely replacement.
