Joaquin Caparros tears up newspaper cover ahead of Real Madrid match

Granada manager ripped up Marca's front cover in his press conference on Friday ahead of his side's meeting with Real Madrid on Saturday.

"I only ask that you take don't humiliate us," the newspaper's cover loosely translated as, quoting Caparros.

However, he wasn't impressed.

"This headline is not acceptable," he boomed.

"Do you really believe that I would say something like that?

"How would I be able to motivate my players and the fans if I had said that?"

Caparros then tore to pieces a print out of the said cover.

He later added on Twitter:

"I've never like losing to anyone. Anyone who thinks that we will give up the three points on Saturday does not know us."

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti later sympathised with his opposite number. 

"I understand why he did it," the Italian said.
