James Rodriguez's incredible excuses for run-in with police

James Rodriguez has given his excuses for not stopping when being chased by the police after speeding at over 200 kilometres per hour. 

The Real Madrid star's car was conviscated and he may face a driving ban of up to a year as well as a big fine. 

However, according to El Mundo, James' excuse to the police was that he was speeding because he was late for training.

He then said that he did not see the police car and could not hear the siren because his music was too loud. 

He finished by saying that when he finally noticed the police car, the player did not want to stop in case, like is common in his country Colombia to owners of expensive cars, he was the victim of a hijacking.
