James Rodriguez's "drunken success" discussed in Colombia

Journalist Maria Elvira Bonilla, columnist in El Pais de Cali, has written in an article the problems James Rodriguez has had after acquiring both fame and money.

She wrote about the "drunken success of James Rodriguez" and argued his problems started in September 2015, for his behaviour and lack of discipline, above all in his sporting life.

"He was a star in front of the eyes of the world, with his pockets increasingly full of dollars, from football and publicity," explained the journalist.

She added: "The star started to be overshadowed, with more time on the bench than the field, and with the new coach Zidane not changing that, the situation appears to be worsening."

Bonilla explained that James came back from holiday in September 2015 overweight and his first fault of discipline was to return late to training. He also thinks James is badly advised by people looking to take advantage of his image in Madrid.
