James Rodriguez hands Real Madrid boost by returning to full training

James Rodriguez is closing in on a return to first team action with Real Madrid.

The Colombian returned to training on Tuesday and Carlo Ancelotti hopes to have him available for the title run in and the latter stages of the Champions League.

He has been out since fracturing his metatarsal in the La Liga win over Sevilla at the beginning of February.

And for the last two months James has been working individually with the aim of being fit for the final stages of the season.

Alvaro Arbeloa, Nacho Fernandez, Asier Illarramendi y Jese Rodriguez were the players that trained alongside him on Tuesday morning, with the rest of Ancelotti's squad away on international duty.

Youngsters Aleix Febas, Jose Carlos Lazo and the Chilean Benjamin Kuscevic also joined in the session.

If everything goes to plan over the next to weeks, James could be set to reappear against Granada at the Bernabeu on April 5

Ancelotti will be without the suspended Isco for that game, freeing up space for the World Cup Golden Boot winner.
