James Rodriguez can't put up with Madrid shut-out anymore

Real Madrid’s Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez is more out than in. The most recent decision by manager Zinedine Zidane, to not give him even a single minute against Manchester City, despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema going off injured, has been the breaking point for the player.

James Rodriguez doesn’t count for Zidane and his agent, Jorge Mendes, is already looking for another team. Zidane continues to chose Lucas Vazquez, Jese Rodriguez and Isco ahead of him as attacking options. It’s a demonstration that the relationship between the player and the coach is not good and Madrid are also looking for a quick solution.

His numbers in the Champions League are the best example of James’ fall from grace this season. While he played nine games last season, starting eight (705 minutes) and scoring one goal, this season he has played just four European games, starting three (242 minutes) and also scoring one goal.

Reports from Colombian media ‘Las dos orillas’ said this week: “James’ agent Jorge Mendes is tired of receiving calls from Jose Angel Sanchez, Florentino Perez’s right hand man, complaining about the players constant indiscipline…

“He knows that in the dressing room is not as loved anymore, that his quotes after his fine performance against Ecuador weren’t well-received and in August, when the 2016-17 season starts, he will move from Madrid.”

Further evidence that suggests James Rodriguez’s future is not in the Spanish capital.
