Iker Casillas to leave Real Madrid as David de Gea transfer gets ever closer

Iker Casillas' future seems to be away from Real Madrid right now. TVE have reported on Wednesday afternoon that the goalkeeper will not remain at the club following talks between both parties.

The imminent arrival of David de Gea appears to have forced Casillas to change his mind. He's previously said he will stay at the club, despite a season which saw fan opinion on the club legend split.

TVE have not given any clues as to where he could go next, but Casillas will continue to play at the highest standard possible, rather than leave for a league where there is more money, but less quality.

Turkish side Fenerbahçe are the best placed to make a move at the moment and are prepared to make Casillas a good offer to move to Turkey.

Inside Real Madrid, they assure that Casillas will have the send off he deserves, considering he has devoted his whole life to Los Blancos. Therefore, leaving the club will not become a mess and the termination of any contract will not be a problem.
