Gerard Pique cut from Vicente del Bosque's Spain squad for France and Macedonia games

Vicente del Bosque caused a stir when he left Gerard Pique out of his Spain squad for the friendly against France and the 2016 European Championship qualifier against Macedonia.

The defender had been in poor form last season for both club and country, but Del Bosque said the reason he has been left out of the squad is because he has a "minor discomfort".
