"Gareth Bale has been a failure at Real Madrid"

Ramon Tremosa, one of the three European Parliament members who have asked for Bale's transfer to Real madrid to be investigated, has given an interview with La Vanguardia, in which he explains the reasons he suspects the Welshman's transfer to Los Blancos was made with public money. 

Tremosa explained: "We only ask the European Commisison investigates how they paid the fee because 90 million euros, which Ronaldo or Bale cost, are how much is needed to build an airport."

The Catalan member, along with Britain's Daniel Dalton and Belgium's Sander Loones is questioning the deal. He said: "Bale has been a failure for Madrid. This is an airport that would amortize in 50 years. How much is Bale worth now on the market? 5 per cent of what they paid for him?"
