Florentino Perez: Zinedine Zidane will continue until 2018

Florentino Perez says he has confidence in Zinedine Zidane to keep leading Real Madrid, after the Frenchman won the club's 11th Champions League trophy. 

"Zidane has a contract until 2018 and will stay in charge. He signed it when he took over the first team and of course he's going to continue because he's the ideal coach for Real Madrid.

"In December we did an analysis and decided we needed a change. We had confidence in Zidane because a Real Madrid coach needs to bring experience, leadership, know-how, and we've done well, in La Liga too, where we finished a point off the top. To get 90 points in La Liga is to have a good season."

Of the final, he said: "I suffered a lot, in the game, in extra-time, in the penalty shoot-out. It's been the maximum level of suffering. It's not possible to suffer more."
