Figo: I don't speak to Catalan press, but I'll make an exception because you're good looking

Luis Figo, who has never hid his distaste for the Catalan media, surprised on Monday morning by making quotes in bad taste during a press conference which he appeared in along with Carles Puyol, Raul Gonzalez, Fabio Capello, Marcelo Desailly, Cafu and other ambassadors for Laureus.

Asked a question by a journalist from a Catalan organisation, the former Barcelona and Real Madrid player replied: "Normally I don't speak to the Catalan press, but I will make an exception for you because you are good looking."

The comment was aimed at Catalan journalist Nuria Casas, from 8TV, who normally covers Barcelona. On various occasions she has clashed with Barça manager Luis Enrique, who has the opposite past to Figo, swapping Madrid for Barça, as opposed to Barça for Madrid.

Figo, after signing for Real Madrid and betraying the Barcelona fans, has always come out in favour of Los Blancos. You could say he has renounced his Barcelona past. His most recent notable appearance, in fact, was on social media, with a Real Madrid shirt supporting Zinedine Zidane's side during the Camp Nou Clasico.
