Ex-Barça man Cuenca wants to score winning goal for Granada

Isaac Cuenca is one of the former Barcelona players in the Granada squad, although he's the only one to have formed part of the Blaugrana first team. David Lomban and Ruben Rochina only played for the B team and in the Copa Catalunya.

All eyes will be on Cuenca on Saturday. He is in good form, scoring two goals against Sevilla on Sunday as Granada guaranteed their place in La Liga for at least one more season.

The former Barça man, now 25, who has become a bit of a journeyman since leaving Camp Nou, has been speaking to Cadena Ser in the build up this week's game. And despite his past, he made it clear he will not be doing his old team-mates any favours.

Speaking to Jose Ramon de la Morena, he said: "To score the winning goal in the last minute would be perfect, it would be amazing. I don't think my Catalan friends, when I go home, would hold it against me. I play for Granada and I'm sure a lot of them would be happy for me."

Cuenca is convinced that "Granada will give a good image of themselves on Saturday and we will make things really difficult for Barça."

On his Blaugrana past, he said that "it is not easy to triumph there. I was hindered by a lot of injuries, then loans. At clubs like Barça there is not the same patience as there is at smaller clubs."

However, he does still feel some affection for Barcelona. "Of course, in the Champions League, for example, I always want them to win. Above all because I like their style of play and for my ex-team-mates."
