Enzo Zidane called up by his dad for Real Madrid training

With Karim Benzema, Marcelo, Gareth Bale and Pepe all missing from Real Madrid training due to various injury problems, Zinedine Zidane took the opportunity to call up four of the club's younger players for Wednesday’s first team training session at Valdebebas.

Among the Castilla players cited was Zidane’s eldest son, Enzo Zidane. Martin Odegaard, Marcos Llorente and Carlos Abad were also involved in the session as Madrid begin to step up their preparation for Saturday’s derby against Atletico at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Enzo Zidane has previously trained with the first team at Valdebebas, but this was the first time he had been handed the opportunity since his dad took over from Rafa Benitez at the beginning of January.

The central midfielder is not the only son of Zidane who plays in Los Blancos’ canters. Luca plays in goal for the Juvenil A side, Theo is a midfielder for Infantil A and Elyaz, like Enzo and Theo, also plays in the middle of the park for the Alevin B team.
