Diego Simeone uses soldiers metaphor to describe Atletico vs Bayern

Diego Simeone is not afraid of Bayern Munich's deep squad and attacking options. The Atletico Madrid manager came up with an interesting metaphor for the gaame.

"Obviously we have a coach and players who have different characteristics," he said. "Bayern have many players, but in wars the side with the most soldiers don’t win, rather those who use their soldiers better."

Simeone highlighted the attributes of his side and the factors they try to take with them at all times.

"We are thinking about what we’re playing in, the big opportunity we have. We have to think about one thing - winning. With a lot of hard work, illusion and people working towards the same goal.

"I’m expecting a hard game with an opponent with a lot of attacking potential, with a coach who changes from game to game.

"We will try to take the game in our hands where we can. In this sense it will be an important game regarding the tie as a whole."
