Diego Simeone not giving up hope in the La Liga title race

Atletico Madrid take on Deportivo de la Coruna on Saturday night and by the time the game kicks off they could be 11 points behind league leaders Barcelona.

There are just 10 games of the season to go, but Simeone is not giving up.

"You know us. You know that further than the situation we are in or the lack of time there is, we will work with the same hope, enthusiasm and commitment," he said, insisting his team "will not change".

Of the Depor game, he said: "No (it's not a 'trap' game) because we will take it in the same manner as we talke all the games."

Simeone said Fernando Torres was "working with the doctor" and will not be fit for the clash, although he is hoping to make it back for the PSV Champions League clash on Tuesday.

Without the striker he will likely go with the same team that featured in Atletico's last game. "We will finish deciding on Saturday - they could both play," he said, referring to Augusto Fernandez and Yannick Carrasco, who did not play against Valencia from the start last weekend.
