David Moyes says he wants to remove Real Sociedad athletics track
David Moyes says he wants Real Sociedad to remove the athletics track at Anoeta to create a more intimidating experience for visiting sides.
In an interview with El Diario Vasco he was asked what goes through his head ahead of matches and he replied: "I am always thinking about winning, in trying to convince my players that we can get a victory, I’m thinking about the people who have come to the stadium to watch the game and hope they will enjoy watching our team play.
"I would like Anoeta, sooner rather than later, to be a stadium in which the public is closer to the players – without the athletics track separating the fans from the pitch.
"A couple of weeks ago, I was at El Molinon watching Sporting against Real Madrid and the fans were close to the action, almost on top of the pitch. The atmosphere was much more charged. I really loved that."
