Cristiano Ronaldo: I know why Messi passed the penalty

Cristiano Ronaldo claims he knows why Lionel Messi passed his penalty against Celta Vigo, which Luis Suarez scored from.

"I know why Leo did it and I'm not going to say any more than that, you can think what you want now," he said, during a press conference ahead of Real Madrid's clash with Roma in the Champions League.

There have been various suggestions as to what Cristiano was referring to. 

Some thinks he means Messi wanted to boost Suarez's goal tally, helping the Uruguayan overtake Ronaldo as La Liga's top scorer.

However Neymar said after the game the pass was meant for him, and if Messi wanted Suarez to score, he might have let him take it in the first place.

Others think Messi was, on the verge of his 300th league goal, showing he doesn't care about the numbers.

And it has also been suggested he was taking a penalty in a way that Cristiano could not, because he is too selfish and determined to boost his own goal tally.
