Cristiano Ronaldo influences Madrid coach Zidane's substitutions

Cristiano Ronaldo is more than a striker at Real Madrid. He goes beyond footballing limits and affects other aspects, including the other players. That's the only way to explain what happened with Real Madrid's substitutions against Valencia on Sunday.

Movistar+'s El Dia Despues cameras captured Ronaldo ordering the substitutions and questioning Zinedine Zidane's decisions.

In their video you can see Ronaldo forces Zidane to change the substitution he had planned to make. The manager was going to bring Jese on for James Rodriguez, but Lucas Vazquez went down injured around the same time.

Ronaldo stopped the substitution, and although Lucas recovered and ran around, in the end he was the one substituted.

Later, Zidane and his team decided Alvaro Arbeloa should come on, and he called over to Ronaldo "Cris! Change?" and the player accepted, having earlier not wanted to go off when asked, and he was substituted for the first time this season.
