Cristiano Ronaldo claimed he had a vision he'd score winner

Cristiano Ronaldo claimed he "had a vision" he was going to score the winning goal.

The Portuguese forward struck the final penalty in Madrid's 5-3 shoot out win over Atletico in the Champions League final after they drew 1-1 after extra time.

"I had a vision," he said on Spanish television. "I knew that I would score the winning goal. I told Zizou that and to let me take the fifth and that's how it turned out.

He added: “We’re really happy, finals are always hard. The side was great and sacrificed a lot. It’s impressive. I knew I was going to score the winning penalty. I was confident.

"I’m happy, I want to share these titles with all Madrid fans”.
