Cristiano Ronaldo backs under-fire Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti

Cristiano Ronaldo has offered his support to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.

President Florentino Perez had been thinking about sacking the Italian, but the forward and other Madrid stars want to keep their current boss.

"Great coach and amazing person. Hope we work together next season," tweeted the striker, with a picture of his manager.

This will increase pressure on the Madrid president, who must decide Ancelotti's future sooner rather than later.

Ronaldo won the Pichichi award, scoring a hat-trick as Madrid beat Getafe 7-3 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Ronaldo has 48 league goals for the season, while Lionel Messi has 43.

The closest players to these two are Neymar and Antoine Griezmann, on 22 each.
