Chelsea set to rival Barcelona in bid to sign Atletico Madrid's Koke

According to information published in English newspaper 'Metro', Jose Mourinho's Chelsea are ready to fight Barcelona for the signature of Koke

The Atletico Madrid midfielder is one of the most highly rated young players in Europe, with Chelsea reportedly ready to pay €60million to take him to Stamford Bridge.

Koke's release clause is €60m, so if he's happy to leave for Chelsea, that would be enough to get the deal done.

Time will tell, though, if the money available in England will be enough to tempt him to leave Atletico, or even if the money in Spain will force him to leave the Spanish capital.

SPORT revealed a few days ago Barça's interest in the 23-year-old is still alive.

It's well known that Luis Enrique is a fan and with Xavi leaving soon, if not this summer, then the next one, he is seen as the ideal replacement.

Chelsea's arrival in the race will only be seen as bad news by those trying to get a deal done at Barça.
