Carlo Ancelotti: "Real Madrid will make Javier Hernandez decision at end of season"

Carlo Ancelotti says a decision will be taken on Javier Hernandez's future at the end of the season.

Hernandez is on loan from Manchester United and Real Madrid do have an option to buy him when that loan deal expires in the summer.

The Mexican has spent the majority of the season on the bench, but he has scored important goals over the past week for the club.

He scored an 88th minute winner against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and then struck twice in a hard-fought 4-2 win over Celta Vigo on Sunday.

"I think it's a subject to look at when the season finishes," Ancelotti said in a press conference on Tuesday previewing Madrid's game with Almeria.

"I've really liked his professionalism throughout the year and he has taken advantage of his opportunity.

"To have these type of players in the squad is always a positive thing."

Hernandez has scored six league goals for Madrid this season despite only starting three games.

Only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo average more goals per game.
