Carlo Ancelotti turns his attention to matches against Liverpool and Barça

The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, said after his side hammered Levante that his team are in very good shape ahead of matches against Liverpool, in the Champions League, and Barcelona, in la Liga.

He was satisfied with the match as Madrid's preparation in the build up to the fixture had been difficult due to the absence of many players.

Some were late back from international duty and others were injured, so Ancelotti considered the success in Valencia a good once and was happy to see his side maintain their concentration.

"Now we have time to prepare well for our next two encounters," the Italian said as he turned his attention to Liverpool.

"We have a competitive squad with motivated players and we have played a really good match [against Levante].

"We fought well, concentrated and scored goals."

Ancelotti also said it is impossible to ask for any more from Cristiano Ronaldo and said that he didn't play Gareth Bale as he didn't want to risk a slight injury the Welshman has.

He also confirmed Luka Modric was taken off due to a knock.

For the Madrid manager, it is important that these next two matches see his team in good shape physcially and mentally.
