Bartra "mature and ready" as he waits for his Spain chance at Euro 2016

Spain defender Marc Bartra said on Sunday that he's spent "many months preparing" for when the team "needs" him and that he feels "relaxed, mature and ready" if Vicente del Bosque calls on him.

"The manager is the one who's in charge, he knows what he has to do and we know that [the tournament] is long. There are many games. The team's in form - those that are playing, but those that haven't had so many minutes, too. We respect the manager's decision. And if we get a chance, I feel good and will take advantage of it," the centre-back said, who has still not featured at Euro 2016.

"I've spent months preparing for when the national team needs me. I feel secure, relaxed and mature to deal with the situation if the coach needs me. I've spent these last few weeks of preparation feeling good with my team-mates, with the team, and we're all training hard to be able to help the team. I feel good."

He also spoke about the possibility of there being a change in goal against Croatia, with Iker Casillas tipped to come in for David de Gea: "I have a lot of faith in David, Iker and Sergio Rico, so if it is Iker we will be relaxed, the same as with David, as he's a great goalkeeper."
