Atletico's Luciano Vietto wanted by four clubs

Luciano Vietto has not had the repercussion that Atletico Madrid expected when they signed him. Diego Simeone has used the forward sparingly, but the club still believes in him.

They paid over 20 million euros to Villarreal for the Argentine, but Atletico are now looking to facilitate his departure. The player will leave on loan, or possibly in a transfer that would include a buy-back option. He will not be short of offers.

Vietto wants to resolve his future as soon as possible and has four options on the table. They are Sevilla, Valencia, Roma and Lazio. The player would like to stay in Spain, but does not rule out the possibility of spending a season in Serie A.

Each of the four interested parties are prepared to pay a fee to take the player, and assume the full cost of his current wages.

Vietto was also offered to Barça a few weeks ago, during a visit made by his agent to the Catalan capital. Barcelona like the player, but is not a priority at the moment. Atletico would seek a higher loan fee from the Liga champions and so it is a very unlikely option.

Atletico will sign another forward to take Vietto's place in their squad, preferably somebody with different characteristics. A player with much more physical presence. Christian Benteke of Liverpool is the preferred choice.
