Atletico Madrid's Koke ruled out with hamstring injury

Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke Resurreccion will miss his side's match against Getafe on Tuesday because he is "suffering from a grade I-II hamstring injury,” the club announced on Sunday, although they did not specify a recovery time.

The player's return is "pending evolution", the Rojiblanco added, although this type usually requires at least a week to recover. For that reason, Koke is also a major doubt for next weekend's match against Villarreal.

Koke, who underwent tests at Fremap de Majadahonda clinic on Sunday morning, was subtituted in the 61st minute of his side's 2-0 win over Eibar on Saturday. The Argentine Angel Correa came on his place, scoring the game's first goal almost immediately.

Until now, Koke has started all five of Atletico's official matches this season, playing a total of 465 minutes and scoring one goal, in the second game of the La Liga season against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
