Asier Illarramendi and Fabio Coentrao may be saved by Rafa Benitez

The imminent arrival of Rafa Benitez may save two of Real Madrid's players. Carlo Ancelotti didn't use Fabio Coentrao and Asier Illarramendi much, but the incoming Spanish coach counts on them and doesn't want them to leave the club.

The Portuguese defender will only leave if Florentino Perez can convince Benitez to sign a better left-back, with the chief hoping for Jose Luis Gaya, David Alaba or Alex Sandro.

Illarramendi, meanwhile, had a distant relationship with Ancelotti, but knows that Benitez might use him more. His dreams of succeeding at the club live on.
