Arsenal annoyed at Madrid's handling of the 'Morata Case'

Arsenal are worried with the pace at which Real Madrid are choosing to exercise their right to re-sign Alvaro Morata. The Premier League club have been informed that the Madrid president Florentino Perez will spend the 30 million euros to bring the Spainish striker back from Juventus. However, and despite contact being made several times, they have been incapable of agreeing a price for a future transfer.

Arsenal have already made it clear to Real Madrid and Morata’s agents that they are ready to make a firm offer in the case that the forward’s second spell at Los Blancos is fleeting. This willingness has been met with a calm response from the Santiago Bernabeu, where there appears to be no rush and the contact has been delayed.

At the Emirates they are beginning to fear that Madrid are not opening talks on a price with the objective of getting as much as they can later in the summer. The presence of the player at the European Championships and the veracity of the Premier League market could contribute to an elevated figure. Don’t forget that in recent years Madrid have known how to manage these type of operations to the point of receiving generous valuations. Arsenal are concerned that the passing of weeks could allow clubs like Manchester United to get involved in the bidding.
