Arbeloa remembers Pique in Champions League celebrations

Real Madrid's fans and Alvaro Arbeloa remembered Gerard Pique on Sunday night as they celebrated their 11th European Cup at the Santiago Bernabeu. "Pique, cabron, salute the champion!" was chanted by the supporters, while Arbeloa made reference to Pique's "Kevin Roldan, everything started with you" comment from last season's treble celebration.

"I don't know when or with whom this all started, but I do know who I want to thank: all of you [the fans], you're the best," Arbeloa said when it was his turn on the microphone. The Madrid player, who will leave the club next month, wore a Denis Cheryshev shirt throughout the celebrations. The Russian was mocked at Camp Nou when he played for Valencia due to his role in Madrid's elimination from the Copa del Rey this season.

After Arbeloa's words, the Madrid fans piled in on Pique with their chant. It dates back to the Catalan's comments about Roldan. He was making reference to Cristiano Ronaldo's 30th birthday party, where the Colombian singer was present to perform. From that point on, though, Madrid's campaign lost its focus.
