Antoine Griezmann: I want to eat on Leo Messi's table

Antoine Griezmann is determined to reach the level of the footballing greats.

Speaking about Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, he said, per the Observer: “I want to eat at their table. I want to get as close as possible to their level and win titles. My objective is to be among the best.”

Griezmann says he felt sadder at having lost the Champions League final against Real Madrid than the Euro 2016 final, with his country France on home soil, to Portugal.

“The hardest one to take was the Champions League final,” he added. “It was my first important final.”
