Amadeo Salvo and Rufete to leave their roles at Valencia

Amadeo Salvo and Rufete to leave their roles at Valencia

Valencia's executive president Amadeo Salvo will officially announce his departure from the club at a press conference on Wednesday.

After two years at the club, first as president, and then as executive president following Peter Lim's purchase of the club, Salvo will walk away from Mestalla.

With him, Rufete, the club's sporting director, will also leave

Disagreements between Salvo and Rufete and Valencia's new owners, who have come out in favour of manager Nuno Espirito Santo, are the causes behind the duo's departure.

The failure to sign Rodrigo Caio was the final straw.

Amadeo Salvo had a long meeting with Lay Hoon on Tuesday, the president of the board of directors, in which Rufete, Fabian Ayala and Joan Salvans were also present.

Everything now suggests Salvo will leave the club, something which Lay Hoon did not deny after the conclusion of the meeting.
