Alvaro Arbeloa's controversial tweet celebrating the undecima

Alvaro Arbeloa, Real Madrid right-back, celebrated the club's 11th European Cup in a strange way.

He did not play in the game and was not on the bench either, left out of his final match as a Madrid player, viewing the game from the stands at the San Siro, but ending up on the pitch celebrating like one of the team.

Then in the dressing room his team-mates paid him tribute, chanting his name.

Once the celebrations were over, Arbeloa had time to go on his social media accounts.

He posted an odd message, reading: "Hala Madrid! Sons of a bitch!", along with a photo of the trophy and a t-shirt with the words "live forever" on it.

On radio show Tiempo de Juego, Arbeloa explained he was "remembering a friend of mine who died in the Santiago train accident."
