The streets in the Spanish capital were taken over by the English fans

Police arrested eight fans on Tuesday night and there were more problems on Wednesday

Leicester City fans caused more trouble in Madrid on Wednesday afternoon in the build up to the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Vicente Calderon against Atletico.

Fans of the Foxes took to the streets of the Spanish capital, where the clashed with local police. with new clashes with the National Police. The hooligans filled bard aroind the city and temparatures rose as they continued to consume alcohol.

Around 70 English fans had already been involved in serious incidents on Tuesday night which ended with five injured and eight arrested.

The meeting between Atletico and Leicester was already declared as high risk, with Madrid City Council calling extra security for the clash.

As is often the case, though, the deployment of officers was not enough to ensure the day ran smoothly, although fights between Leicestar fans and locals have been avoided.

In the attached images a good number of English fans can be seen causing havoc in the streets of Madrid, even with the presence of the police force.
