Zinedine Zidane on Cristiano Ronaldo row: I'm not stupid

Zinedine Zidane tried to play down Cristiano Ronaldo’s fit of rage at being substituted against Las Palmas.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s clash with Borussia Dortmund, the Frenchman said: “Everything is normal, Cristiano wasn’t the only one angry about it, it’s over now and we are thinking about tomorrow’s game.

“I took the decision for the best of the player and that’s not going to change anything, us speaking about it. We are relaxed about it. I’m not stupid and [Cristiano] is intelligent. We are here for the same thing, the two of us, and so is everyone else.

“Rotation is the idea I have and I’m not going to change it. I pick the best team to win the game, later I have three substitutions and I’m going to keep making them.”
