Yeray Álvarez, the Athletic centre back, is continuing with his recovery. The good news at Lezama this Monday was that Yeray was at the club’s training ground running.
Yeray Álvarez, who is still undergoing chemotherapy, was seen jogging and even had a few touches of the ball in a session with physical trainer Xabi Clemente that lasted half an hour. However, this is only another step in his recovery.
Yeray will be out for three months while he receives treatment for a testicular cancer relapse that was diagnosed in June. Yeray’s teammates and coaches have shaved their heads to show their solidarity with the player.
