Real Madrid and Man City interested in signing Metz wonder-kid
Thill, who has played for the national team, was watched by those clubs during the past international break
Real Madrid and Man City, FC Barcelona’s Champions League rivals, are focusing on one of the young stars of Metz, in the French league. It’s the central-midfielder Vincent Thill, who has debuted for the club despite being just 17.
According to French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche, City and Real are following him closely, while Bayern Munich were said to be interested last season in the Luxembourgian.
Thill, who has played for the national team, was watched by those clubs during the past international break against Sweden. “He has the potential to play for one of the five top clubs in Europe,” said Denis Schaeffer, his agent.
However, the Metz wonder-kid knows that it’s best for him to continue in the French league, gaining experience and waiting for a definitive offer to make the leap forward in his professional career.
