According to Cadena Cope show El Partidazo, referees in Spain could have help next season

It would be used to analyse ghost goals, red cards, penalties and see who committed fouls

La Liga could use video referees (VAR) from next season and beyond, according to Isaac Fouto on El Partidazo on Cadena Cope. In January they announced the system would be tested in the Copa del Rey 2017-18.

According to Fouto the president of the refereeing committee, Victoriano Sanchez Arminio, has told the referees about this, a system designed to reduce the error percentage made by officials by at least 25 per cent.

The system would be used to decide if ghost goals crossed the line or not, see if penalties are fairly awarded, judge red cards and who committed fouls. It could also be aware in offsides but only in dubious plays that lead to goals.

The big advantage of this system is that it is not necessary to interrupt the play to use, with extra officials watching the videos.
