Sandro Ramirez closing in on move to Atletico Madrid

The player's agent Gines Carvajal was in Madrid on Monday

Atletico hope to have their transfer ban overturned & sign players

Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez could finalise his future in the coming days. The former Barcelona forward, who left Camp Nou for free last summer, is a target for a number of clubs in Spain and beyond. But it looks as if Atletico Madrid will be his final destination.

Sandro's agent, Gines Carvajal, was in Madrid on Monday at the offices of the Vicente Calderon, according to Diario AS. The reason for the visit is to negotiate the striker's move to Atletico, as previosuly revealed by Seville-based paper Estadio Deportivo

The 21-year-old has become a priority for Atletico, who want to beat their rivals to the player, despite not yet having a resolution from the Court of Arbitration for Sport on their appeal regarding whether they will be allowed to make signings this summer. If they're unsuccessful, they will have to wait until January, like Barça did.

Both Sandro and Atletico are hoping that the deal will be able to go though and Carvajal's visit suggests there are just a few final details to sort out. Remember that Sandro's release clause means he's available for just six million euros, which is why a number of clubs, including Premier League sides, are interested.
