If Sampaoli goes to Barcelona Sevilla want Lillo to take over
Sevilla are studying who they may choose to replace Sampaoli with, should the Argentine be poached
The fine season and level of play that Sevilla are enjoying has woken the interest of many of Europe's big sides, including FC Barcelona, in their coach Jorge Sampaoli.
Because of that Sevilla are studying who they may choose to replace him with, should the Argentine be poached by another side - for just 1.5m euros as explained here.
According to Marca they have earmarked Juanma Lillo. Lillo is the assistant coach to Sampaoli at Sevilla. The newspaper claims that Pep Guardiola and Bielsa advised the Argentine to appoint him as No 2 so the team would have more possession, one of the great qualities this Sevilla team has.
Lillo therefore could come straight in and replace Sampaoli, keeping the team playing the same way. The second coach has not decided if he would accept that or if he would prefer to move with Sampaoli to his new team.
