Ronaldo: I've won three Ballon d'Ors - Xavi doesn't have any

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to comments made by Xavi Hernandez on Spanish radio in the week. 

The former Barcelona midfielder said: "Only a fool could have played football and not recognise Cristiano is an elite footballer.

"But he just has had bad luck to be around at the same time as Leo.”

Ronaldo didn’t bite his tongue when asked about Xavi’s comments after making his first appearance of the season in the win over Osasuna on Saturday. 

“The most searched for player on the Internet is me,” the Portuguese international said. 

“Those that want to appear on front covers of promote things speak about me. 

“What does it matter to me what Xavi says, he played in Qatar or I don’t know. 

“He’s won everything but he’s never won a Ballon d’Or -- I have three.”
