Otamendi's agent says he could replace Pepe at Real Madrid

Martin Sendoa says Nicolas Otamendi could head to Real Madrid in the summer if Pepe leaves.

Portuguese centre-back Pepe is out of contract and has been tipped to move China -- although there's interest from other European clubs, too -- and Otamendi's agent Sendoa says Madrid are eyeing up the Manchester City defender as his replacement.

"Pepe is leaving Real Madrid and Otamendi fits the profile they are looking for," he told Radio Continental.

"Jorge Mendes [Cristiano Ronaldo's agent] is also managing Otamendi in Europe."

In a separate interview, Sendoa also claimed that Barcelona have also been tracking the Argentine international.

"Barcelona have also followed him since he was at Valencia," he said per La Vanguardia.

"Nico is happy at Manchester City. But who wouldn't like to play at Real Madrid? It's the biggest club in the world."
