Munir confident Valencia can qualify for the Champions League

Munir says he had no doubts about joining Valencia and is confident his new side can not just mount a push for the top four, but finish in the Champions League places.

The 21-year-old joined Los Che in August on a loan deal from Barcelona and will fill the gap in the squad left by Paco Alcacer. He could make his debut against Real Betis on Sunday.

"I have liked Valencia for a long time and I want to give everything for this shirt," he said at his presentation on Wednesday.

"I found out about the offer from Valencia and I had no doubts about coming."

Munir is already acquainted with Santi Mina and Jose Luis Gaya from the Spain U21 set-up and he believes the squad is in place to secure a top four finish this season.

“I think we are going to achieve it,” he confidently stated when asked about Valencia's chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

Barça will hope he scores plenty of goals during his loan spell at Mestalla and Munir hopes those goals will be able to help the team.

He added: “I am a striker that likes to score goals.

“I am here to work hard and help the team to do well. I am very happy here, concentrated on the team and our targets.”

Valencia have an option to sign Munir for 12 million euros at the end of the campaign and if they exercise that right Barça will have first refusal on any future sale.
