Four reasons Atletico Madrid are struggling to get going

Atletico Madrid have made their worst start to La Liga in Diego Simeone's era, with two draws in two weeks, against promoted sides. Here are four reasons for their struggles. 

1. They are lacking goals. That is their main worry, with their only strike arriving from the penalty spot. 

2. Lack of accuracy. "This is why we're not winning games," said Simeone, speaking about his side's final balls and passing. The strikers are disconnected from the midfield.

3. Opposition goalkeepers. Fernando Pacheco made a great double save from Kevin Gameiro when Atletico played Alavez, and Jon Ander Serantes was on top form at Butarque as they drew with Leganes.

4. Predictable play in attack. Atletico have found two tight defences that they have not been able to break down. This is nothing new - they've suffered that in previous seasons. They had too many central players and not enough capacity to unbalance on the flanks.
